The American Christ/Washingtonism page is the only religious group that focuses on worshiping the Founders. It also brings together any and all pages that are about worshiping them or treating them as religious figures. There is not a single other webpage that does this(brings all those links together into one location).

One man prays towards the Apotheosis of Washington, invoking George Washington’s Spirit and he encourages others to do the same. There are several other people who could be called Americanist or Washingtonist who include the Founding Fathers in their religion or spirituality. Clearly, people are looking for and need a religious group that focuses on worshiping George Washington and the Founding Fathers. Washingtonism is the answer to that need.

There are a few individual people (Pagan Americanists) and articles about praying to them, or setting up a patriotic altar on 4th of july.

There are at least a few people interested in worshiping the Founding Fathers (and perhaps more who would join The American Christ page if they knew this kind of patriotic faith group existed) and who view America as a religion (religious Americanism).

The American Christ page is the only and very first group to base a religious belief system on literally worshiping the Founders and the concept of setting up a permanent patriotic shrine or altar that is dedicated specifically to the Founding Fathers. It’s the only Founding Father-centric patriotic religious group that has a monolithic and established belief system. It has its own creed, holidays, rituals, holy scriptures, and prayers. It is my hope that I can eventually gather all the Washingtonists and Americanists or potential believers together here to create a unique Americanist/Washingtonist fellowship of believers. I have seen some people say that they pray to Thomas Jefferson, and a Christian man once told me that he wished he could pray to Thomas Jefferson for help to guide our country. I have heard that some Christians want the Constitution added to the Bible. That is how highly some Americans revere the Constitution and treat is as Holy Writ.

Someone made a reference to the video game Bioshock Infinite which features the Founding Fathers being worshiped and the Apotheosis of Washington, pointing out that this is how religion is born, and that perhaps a worship center would be built when people start to worship George Washington, and that Washingtonism could be bigger than Christianity in 500 years.
